Call Name "Dutch." Dutch is an AKC Standard,
black and white parti Poodle.
His sire is Wekay's Desert Oasis (call name "Phoenix") out of Wekay Kennels of Texas. Phoenix is a beautiful AKC Standard
brown and white parti poodle.
His dam is Golly Miss Molly VIII who is a gorgeous AKC Standard silver and white parti poodle. Dutch weighs about 72 lbs.
Dutch is an amazing, athletic, super intelligent, and loving dog. He lives for his humans. Two of his favorite things to do are run and leap in the air and splash and play in the beach area of our pool. We have to keep his coat cut short or he'll end up a muddy mess because he loves the water so much. He is definitely a sporty guy!
Dutch has been genetically tested by Embark for inheritable diseases and disorders and carries one copy of DM. This is a recessive trait so when paired with a dam that does NOT carry for DM, NONE of his puppies will be affected or display symptoms or be at any risk for developing DM. He will never be paired with a dam that carries DM. He has been OFA tested for structure and cleared the following: Hips, Elbows, Patellas, Basic Cardiac, Eyes.
Dutch is CHIC Certified.
Dutch is also available for Stud Service. We service Dams ON SITE, Dutch does not travel. Live cover, chilled shipped.
See "Contracts" tab for info on this service.
Tucker's mom was a small petite F1 goldendoodle and his dad was a multi-gen goldendoodle, and we are so excited to announce that Tucker's DNA has been tested and he is 35.7% Golden Retriever and the rest small poodle. He is GENETICALLY CLEAR for all testable inheritable diseases through both Embark and PawPrint, including for CDDY and CDPA!
Tucker is about 22 lbs and 17" at the withers, classifying him as a mini. Please see the tab "Why The Goldendoodle" to learn more about the official size ranges of the Goldendoodle, provided by the Goldendoodle Association of North America. Or you can click on the link below.
We are so happy to announce that in addition to Tucker's beautiful genetic health testing results, he has passed ALL GANA Gold Level required OFA testing and Pennhip: PennHip, OFA Hips, Elbows, Eyes, Patellar, and Basic Cardiac.
Tucker is crazy clever, silly, and loves a cuddle. He is such a beautiful sweet boy, we could NOT be more excited about what he adds to our program!
STUD Service available to approved programs (fully health tested dam with proof, curriculum, temperament evaluations for puppies).
Louie is the future sire of our Golden Cavadoodle Litters. We plan on pairing him with Reba, our mini F1b Goldendoodle.
Louie is an absolute lover boy, so brave, eager to try new things and always up for meeting new people. We love this about him and cannot wait to see what his genetics will bring to this new line and the implications that are present for future working dogs in our program.
Louie has passed his 1st big Health testing hurdles -- he has passed his genetic health testing (there are some diseases that he carries that are inherent in the CKCS breed -- in other words, they are ALWAYS present -- but NONE of his Golden Cavadoodle puppies will ever be negatively impacted by those, as Reba and any female we would pair him with do not carry those genes.
One example of these "inherent" genetic traits is CDDY. Chondrodystrophy (CDDY) is a genetic condition in dogs that in some breeds can cause abnormal bone development and cartilage growth. It's associated with a high risk of developing intervertebral disc disease (IVDD). ALL Cavaliers carry copies of this disease -- it is built into the breed and how they accomplished the stature that is breed standard. But only a portion of Cavaliers will go on to develop IVDD.
The Goldendoodle Association Of North America (GANA) has commented on the presence of CDDY in the Goldendoodle population (brought in by the smaller poodles in the lines) as not having any reported or research-supported impact on the Goldendoodle breed. Many goldendoodles have one or two copies (it doesn't matter how many -- expression has equal probability) and GANA feels at this time there is no reason to be concerned about this in the Goldendoodle population.
He is clear thru PawPrint Genetics of the CONCERNING diseases often found in the Cavalier population: DM, Dry Eye Curly Coat Syndrome, PRA, PRCD, and Skeletal Dysplasia. He carries one copy of Episodic Falling Syndrome (2 are required for expression) and that is disputable because the lab results came back as inconclusive and deemed him as a 1 copy carrier after multiple rounds of testing. We are planning on using another lab (Animal Genetics) to try to prove conclusively that he does not carry 1 copy. TBD.
Louie also passed his OFA/PennHip Hip Evaluation! This is a feat unto itself! CKCS are FAMOUS for not passing OFA/PennHip evaluations so we are so extremely pleased he is well on his way to completing his health/structure testing. When he reaches 1 year of age (May 5, 2025), we will complete his health testing with Eyes, Elbows, Patellar, and Heart OFA evals. STAY TUNED!
We are SO thankful to Kalon Cavaliers for trusting us with Louie and allowing us to add him to our program.
We are also considering offering Louie to other approved AKC CKCS programs as an outside stud.
